Lethal Memories is the first of several novellas, short stories and novels that I’m in the process of outlining and writing. I enjoy writing stories that are suspenseful thrillers that have a tinge of truth. The supernatural element has always interested me so I tend to lean in that direction with many of the stories that I write.
Lethal Memories
is a story that seems to be well placed in time given the political upheaval of the day concerning the “taboo” subject of race. Although we often like to bury our heads in the sand when it comes to racial conflicts, we also know that these conflicts want resolve themselves. Dealing with racism may require that we swallow a bitter pill before we can be cured. Lethal Memories serves as our medicine for the pill, coating it with layers of suspense and excitement, distracting us just long enough for us to forget the horrible taste.

Choices: Being Gay Isn’t One of Them
The short story, “Choices,” revolves around a couple who found a gestational surrogate that would enable them to start the family that they so desperately wanted. In many ways the proposed surrogate was perfect. However, there was one bit of unexpected information that the father-to-be learned which set off a downward spiraling chain of events; he discovered that the surrogate is a lesbian.
As a neocon, he had major issues with that. He didn’t want someone carrying his kid who, he believed, “chose” to be gay.
